Hey guys! I’m Becca. Thanks so much for taking the time to learn a little more about me!
I’m a wedding photographer based in Boston but more importantly, I’m a dog person. Or just an animal person in general? I literally drown my two dogs in love and affection. Most of my work is done from home too so I’m sure my dogs are like mom can you leave us alone for like 2 minutes? But guess what I can’t and I won’t.
I love ice cream. No like I literally eat more ice cream than I drink water. I’m not kidding. It’s an issue but one I’m not really worried about resolving.
I can’t workout unless I’m chasing a ball because I’m a dog apparently so I play basketball in a little YMCA league and flag football when it’s not 7 degrees. I’ll also watch any and every sport but my favorite is hockey (go caps!). So yes I understand why you don’t want to shoot at 1pm on a Sunday during football season.
I really believe I have the dream job. I get to work with couples in such a happy and exciting time in their lives and make real connections with people I might not have ever had the chance to meet otherwise. I get to capture their love and story and give them photos they’ll cherish forever. Then I get to do all the other editing and business work from the dog park. I mean, how cute are your coworkers? Probably not as adorable as Luna’s best friend the mini husky fluff ball.
As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and enjoy poking around my little site!
my wedding philosophy:
I don’t think you should have to worry about your photos on your wedding day. I’m going to get you beautiful pictures. No matter what. So go and enjoy and I’ll show you the magic I was able to capture without you even noticing.
7 things you didn’t know about me
I adopted Bailey when I went to Petsmart to get a fish. I was in high school and they were having an adoption day. I saw Bailey looking all nervous next to these people that were trying to pet her and when she saw me she instantly came over and when I bent down to pet her she sat in my lap. So yes I do believe in love at first sight.
I’ve been to 27 countries! My favorite was Malawi. I lived in a little village named Nkope for 2 months on my gap year teaching English to preschoolers and coaching the high school soccer team. It was amazing and the whole town felt like family. Vietnam is my second favorite because how is Halong Bay even real?
I ate 14 scoops of ice cream once. The challenge was 16 and I got allllll the way down to the last two scoops of strawberry ice cream and it was nasty and I did not last hahaha
I went to Boston University to become a therapist. Being there for people is something that is so central to who I am it just made sense to me to become a therapist. I obviously didn’t end up doing that and went down a number of career paths but I’m so dang happy with where I’ve ended up. I can also definitely help you out if you’re a big ball of stress on your wedding day!
I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro! It was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s thought of it. I don’t really plan on doing any of the other seven summits because I don’t know how to ice climb and I prefer being alive but if anyone knows of any cool mountains I can hike and survive I am so down.
I don’t have a most embarrassing moment because I’m just an embarrassing person in general but one time I walked into a tree when I was talking to my friend and by one time I mean it was this morning
I’m hesitant to put this one because I honestly barely even know what it means but I’m a certified elephant trainer in Thailand! Lol yeah I dont know either
-meet the dogs-
Oh Bailey. She is the weirdest dog in the history of the world. She has both an underbite and an overbite at the same time. I’m not actually sure she’s a dog - she’s more like a cross between a cat, an alien, and the old man from Up before he meets Russell. But anyways, she’s 8 years old now and I’ve had her for about 7 years. When I rescued her she was terrified of literally everything and everyone and know she’s a lot happier and confident and I’m a proud mom. Her favorite things are following me into the bathroom, barking at the mailman, and snuggling under the covers.
Luna’s an actual dog. She plays in the water, runs around with other dogs, and tears apart her toys. I rescued her when she was 4 months old and holy poop she was the cutest little nugget of all time. She’s 2 now and still the cutest just 60 pounds heavier. She’s also the sweetest girl and always has to hold my hand when we drive. I’m great at driving with my left hand now and it’s the most adorable thing that has ever happened to me. I can’t stay mad at her even though she’s eaten my laptop and my wall before :)
